I was excited about many things when we were planning our trip to the Dominican Republic but somehow, I knew that Zoetry Agua Punta Cana was going to be one of the highlights. Our stay at Zoetry Agua Punta Cana was extraordinary and the staff kept exceeding our expectations at every chance they got.
Zoetry Agua is located on the easternmost part of Punta Cana in the quietest area of Uvero Alto, away from the booming all-inclusive resorts. The hotel is built in an idyllic spot and it is surrounded by nature. I particularly loved how the Taino architecture with its signature thatched roofs, blended in perfectly with the lush surroundings.

LUXURY STAY: ZOETRY AGUA PUNTA CANA
We arrived early, as we wanted to take full advantage of our check-in day and we were surprised that our room was ready before noon. The staff welcomed us with a fresh cucumber and aloe juice which was a blessing considering the tropical Dominican temperatures. The check-in process was brief and seamless. Once that was done, our butler showed us around the hotel and then he led us to our room. Our beachfront suite was stunning, with breathtaking views over the ocean.
Our suite was perfectly set with sweet amenities, fresh fruit, and a bottle of cold sparkling wine to set the tone right. As I mentioned above, Zoetry Agua Punta Cana exceeded our expectations and the welcome amenities were only the first thing that made us feel pampered. Why? Because in addition to the above-mentioned ones, the hotel also offered a straw hat; a hand fan, and a beach bag. The amenities are very thoughtfully selected to make your experience at the resort exquisite.
LUXURY ROOM AMENITIES
The suite was spotless and very tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. I’d like to emphasize that because the details are what differentiates a great luxury hotel from an average one. Take for example our bath amenities, which were Bulgari, and our Aromatherapy scented linens. Not many brands go to this extent to make their guests feel like royalty. Right there and then I understood why Zoetry Agua Punta Cana has been an AAA Four Diamond award winner for 9 consecutive years.
SWIM & EAT AT ZOETRY AGUA PUNTA CANA
Every angle of Zoetry Agua Punta Cana is picturesque. As you enter the open-air lobby, you instantly feel that this is the perfect place to disconnect from the outside world for a little while.
The hotel features 96 suites and 3 swimming pools. As far as dining experience is concerned, at Zoetry Agua you will be spoiled for choice. At its 4 restaurants, you will find International, Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Italian cuisine which guarantee to elevate your culinary experience. We had the freshest lobster at Zoetry Agua and one of the best ceviches at the Indigo restaurant that I have tried to date!
MAGICAL HORSEBACK RIDING ON THE BEACH
In between overindulging in food and sipping cocktails by the pool, we were eager to try some of the experiences that the hotel offers. I have always wanted to try horseback riding on the beach and sure enough, Zoetry Agua Punta Cana made my dream come true! The palm-fringed, mile-long sandy beach of the hotel was just the perfect place to try this. I loved every single minute of it and I cannot recommend it enough.
EXPERIENCE WORLD-CLASS SPA AT ZOETRY AGUA
If self-care is your main focus, then you’re in for a treat because Zoetry Aguas’ world-class spa will be your favorite place. We enjoyed a 20-minute neck and back massage and let me tell you, I have never felt more relaxed in my entire life. After our session, we lingered around sipping a refreshing cold tea and indulging in delicious cookies. Then, we spent some extra time by the indoor swimming pool. Heaven!
CELEBRATE WITH ROMANTIC DINNER ON THE BEACH
If you’re celebrating a special occasion (or you’re simply celebrating life), the hotel can arrange for you a personalized dinner on the beach. We experienced that, and it was one of the most romantic things that I and Greg have done in a very long time. It is not every day that you can enjoy a luxurious dinner with your personal waiter, on the beach, listening to the rhythmic sounds of waves.
ENDLESS BENEFITS AT ZOETRY AGUA PUNTA CANA
Like all good things, our days at Zoetry Agua Punta Cana slowly came to an end. Up until the very last minute of our stay, the staff was the kindest and most helpful. Our flight was late in the afternoon and since the hotel has no check-in or check-out times (subject to availability), we were able to keep our room until 4 pm. This is a great concept that in my personal opinion, all hotels should adopt.
