Villa Geba Sveti Stefan View

Luxury Stay: Villa Geba Sveti Stefan

Last Updated: January 3, 2024

This was our first time in Montenegro and we planned to stay a few days in Sveti Stefan before we start exploring the rest of the country.

Sveti Stefan is a small town, famously known for its picturesque peninsula and it seemed like the perfect starting point for our Montenegro journey. We also had one more good reason why this place was our first stop; because we were given the opportunity to stay at Villa Geba and I was ecstatic to experience this idyllic hotel.

Villa Geba Sveti Stefan View

Villa Geba is perfectly located on the hillside and all its suites are facing the Sveti Stefan peninsula, offering breathtaking views. The views were so magical, we kept waking up at 6 am just so we could enjoy watching as the sun rose over the Adriatic Sea.

CHECK-IN AT VILLA GEBA

By the time we arrived in Sveti Stefan, we had already been traveling for many hours and we couldn’t wait to be shown to our room. It was such a pleasant surprise when we entered the hotel and we were welcomed with a warm smile by the receptionist, who informed us that the check-in can take place in our suite.

The receptionist was extremely attentive. I loved the fact that she recognized how tired we were from our journey and seamlessly showed us around our room and made a speedy check-in. She was also very thoughtful and made sure that we had a dinner reservation at their restaurant to enjoy a warm meal.

HARMONIA SUITE

As tempting as the plush bed looked, there was something that I simply couldn’t bypass; the inviting terrace. The scenery was sensational; the sun had just started setting on the horizon, reflecting vivid orange hues on the 15th-century stone cottages sitting on the tiny islet of Sveti Stefan.

Our suite was spacious and oh so inviting! It is not often that I stay at a hotel where luxury and unpretentious interiors mingle in such a harmonious way. I understood there and then why they named it Harmonia Suite.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS

The decor was extremely chic with modern elements and metallic accents, creating a blissful setting that made us feel at home. The leading color in the entire suite was white (my favorite color) and decorated with scattered patches of orange hues.

As we made our way to the master bedroom followed by the enormous main bathroom, I couldn’t help but notice the amenities. The bathroom was equipped with the finest bathrobes, towels, and exclusive toiletries.

I took advantage of that and jumped in the rainshower to wash off 6 hours of traveling, before our dinner. In the meantime, the butler kindly took care of ironing that evenings’ outfit for us; a service that is a blessing if you find the task of ironing as dreadful as I do.

With some free time in my hands until dinner time, I went on to explore the kitchen. It is safe to say that here too, no expense was spared. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the cookware needed to make you feel like this is a home away from home. As a coffee lover, I was thrilled when I laid eyes on the espresso machine!

MUSE RESTAURANT

One espresso later, we found ourselves dining at the elegant Muse Restaurant. We felt pampered not just because we were dining over jaw-dropping views, but also because of the impeccable service. Our waiter walked us through their menu and wine list, giving us a background on the Montenegrin wines. By which time, I was already salivating for a glass of their famous Vranac.

A DAY WELL SPENT AT VILLA GEBA

The next day we woke up very early to take advantage of the cooler temperatures and enjoy the mouthwatering breakfast at our terrace. As the sun was climbing higher in the sky, we made our way to the infinity pool for a day of total relaxation.

The location and small size of the hotel allow for time spent in the common spaces without compromising on privacy. We had the pool practically to ourselves. The same went for the jacuzzi, the hammam, and the sauna. Yes, I did try all three because they were just too tempting and also, I have a weakness for anything spa-related.

Speaking of the spa, Villa Geba also features a wonderful luxurious spa, offering exclusive treatments. All you have to do is inform your butler to book an appointment and leave the rest to the capable hands of the spa therapist.

CONCLUSION

If you find yourself in Sveti Stefan during the summer, chances are that you’ll be overwhelmed by the crowds. You’ll be wishing for a place where you can enjoy everything that this little slice of paradise has to offer but also get the sense of luxury that you deserve. Villa Geba can offer just that! You can enjoy the panoramic views from the comfort of your room, beat the heat at the infinity pool, and enjoy the local cuisine cooked with a modern twist at Muse Restaurant. It really doesn’t get any better than that!
