The Greek islands are a dream destination for anyone who wants to visit Greece. They have a unique aura that you find nowhere else in the world. With over 200 inhabited islands, how do you choose which Greek island to visit?
The ideal answer would be, as many as possible. However, if you only have a certain amount of time (like most of us do), then it will make planning much easier, if you choose islands which belong to the same group, for example, the Cyclades, Ionian Sea, Dodecanese etc.
We were planning on spending 2 weeks in Greece, starting our trip from Paros, with the next stop being Santorini and ended our island-hopping in Milos. The order in which you visit the islands depends a lot on which connection from Athens you choose.

PAROS
Paros may not be as famous as the neighbouring islands of Santorini or Mykonos but it is a favourite destination amongst foreigners and locals alike. The island offers something for all types of travellers, from Blue Flag rated beaches to picturesque traditional villages with beautiful Cycladic architecture and from bustling nightlife to some of the best spots for windsurfing.

SANTORINI
Santorini is almost like a synonym to Greece. Chances are, this is the first island that comes to mind when you think of Greek islands. This Cycladic island of unparalleled beauty, is the perfect destination not only for honeymooners but also for those who are looking to explore a Greek island with outstanding views, lush accommodations, striking sunsets and some of the most unique beaches you’ve ever seen.

MILOS
Milos island had managed to remain a hidden gem known only to Greeks, until recent years. However, with the rise of Instagram, more and more influencers started embarking on the island spreading the word about its outstanding beauty. Although Sarakino is what made Milos famous, it is not the only reason why you should visit. Unlike the rest of the Greek islands, here the pace is much slower and the wild natural beauty of the island will captivate you.
