Day 1: Discover Mahón and the Mola Fortress

Start your day in Mahón, the capital of Menorca, Spain. This charming city is known for its stunning natural harbor, which is one of the largest in the world. You’ll need about half a day to explore the capital. Probably a bit longer than that, if you’re looking to do some shopping as well! Wander through the historic center, visit local markets, and enjoy the panoramic views. Be sure to check out the Church of Santa Maria, and do not leave Mahon without trying out the mouthwatering truffle toast at Bar Augustin, located just a few meters from the church.

In the afternoon, head to the Mola Fortress, also known as La Fortaleza de Isabel II. This 19th-century fortress offers spectacular views and a fascinating insight into Menorca’s military history. It’s one of the top places to see in Menorca. This is one of the landmarks in Menorca that are difficult to reach via public transport, so we suggest that you rent a car or go by taxi. If you’re renting a car, there’s plenty of parking space at the entrance of the fortress. The entrance fee is €8.

The best thing to do in Fornells is simply walk along the harbor and soak in the village’s laid-back atmosphere. Day 4: Beach Hopping – Cala en Bosc, Son Saura, and Binibeca Nou

Start your beach day at Cala en Bosc, one of the most popular beaches in Menorca, Spain. The beach offers turquoise waters and a lively atmosphere, making it perfect for swimming and sunbathing. However, our favorite beach in Menorca was Binibeca Nou! We loved swimming in its crystal clear waters and lying on the soft sand. Due to its relatively remote location, this beach is not as busy as other famous beaches in Menorca. If you’re looking for more solitary moments, then Son Saura is your best choice. This is a secluded beach with crystal-clear waters and plenty of shade, thanks to the trees lining the beach. It’s a quieter spot, ideal if you’re looking to relax away from the crowds.
