I only spent 3 days in Prague but it was enough to make me fall in love with the city. I visited during winter and while the weather was unwelcoming, everything else was as charming as it gets. A magical fairytale town that unraveled in front of my eyes with each step I took.
I tried capturing its beauty through my lenses – a challenging task considering my freezing hands – but it was so worth it. Not only I can look back at these pictures and reminisce the good memories but now I can share them with you, so I can hopefully inspire you to visit Prague.
There are plenty of viewpoints to choose from, but you will find that no place is better to take pictures of the city, than from Prague Castle. A wonderful location to take in the panoramic views.
Food is part of the experience and Prague certainly knows how to deliver when it comes to that. You’ll quickly come to realize how Prague’s culture and history are reflected in its cuisine, whilst the influence of the neighboring countries is quite noticeable. A hearty bowl of goulash is all you’ll need after exploring the city during the heavy winter. If you’re visiting during summer, do not miss any dishes that include meat and of course the famous Czech beer!
For memorable pictures from Prague, be sure to walk along Vltava River during sunset. Charles Bridge looks at its best when the golden light reflects on it.
Prague is a magical destination all year round but it is during winter that it completely transforms into a winter wonderland. If you’re lucky enough to see the city covered in snow it will steal your heart. Be sure to have enough space in your memory card because you won’t be able to stop yourself from taking pictures of Prague’s picturesque neighborhoods.
